Welcome to the Ministerial Development & Ordination Program! We are committed to love, spiritual principles and personal transformation from the inside out such that your life is a service and light in the world!  We invite you to courageously take the next step!!

OVERVIEW

The Ministerial Program provides a unique learning environment that prepares a student to evolve spiritually in leading a life of service anchored in love.  Students in the Ministerial Program immerse themselves in the call to ministry and learn to integrate and apply life lessons through spiritual text, spiritual laws and spiritual principles.  Students also learn the benefits of creating and maintaining a spiritual practice that supports desired life outcomes.

PROGRAM DESIGN

The Ministerial Development and Ordination Program is a three-year course of study and includes the following:

• Development and demonstration of consistent practice of spiritual laws and principles and the utilization of skills and behaviors that promote and maintain spiritual grounding
• Knowledge of and exposure to practices and traditions of diverse spiritual cultures
• Extensive knowledge of and exposure to spiritual foundation texts such as the Holy Bible and A Course in Miracles
• Development of and exposure to metaphysical bible interpretation and the underlying meaning and symbolism in the text as well as application and integration to personal growth and daily living
• Development of, exposure to and demonstration of the ability to conduct spiritual protocols
• Development and demonstration of skills in pastoral care and coaching/counseling
• Development and demonstration of spiritual leadership and spiritual tolerance through practical experiences of service
• Knowledge of spiritual economics and spiritual wellbeing through the transformation of lack and limitation to wealth-ful ideas, abundance and prosperity

PROGRAM COURSES

The curriculum of the Ministerial Development and Ordination Program is designed to prepare students for a life of service through building a relationship with God and exploring self through spiritual laws and spiritual principles.  Specific courses include the following:

Ministerial Development and Homiletics

Ministerial Essentials

Pastoral Care and Counseling

Spiritual Economics

Spiritual Leadership & Service

Spiritual Practices & Protocols

Spiritual Consciousness Development & Integration

SCHEDULE

The Ministerial Program incorporates on-site learning in Laurel, Maryland.  Each year, classes are held from September to the following May and generally on the first full weekend of each month (Friday evening through Sunday afternoon).  The first year is known as the Intercessory Year and begins with a required in-person retreat in August (TBD).  Program years two and three meet subsequently beginning in September and without an introductory retreat. 

ORDINATION

For successful completion of the Ministerial Development and Ordination Program, each student must fulfill all requirements prior to ordination:

• Intercessory Year Retreat
• Satisfactory fulfillment of requirements for each of the following courses:

Pastoral Care and Counseling

• Demonstration of application and integration of Spiritual Laws and Spiritual Principles
• Completion of a Personal Bible and Personal Inventory
• Oral defense presentation

The Ministerial Development and Ordination Program culminates in ordination as a Minister of Spiritual Consciousness (MSC), which is not a religious order but rather a state of being and belief. An MSC is one who recognizes, understands, advances, facilitates and is committed to the evolution of humanity and human behavior through the application of spiritual laws and principles as revealed by the life and teachings of Christ.
